Similarly,  OTO  initiate James Wasserman, in his
odd book The Slaves Shall Serve:  Meditations  On
Liberty,  which  purports  to  be  an impassioned
defense of freedom  and  the  U.S.  Constitution,
advances  the notion that Illuminism, as expresed
by his icon Crowley,  embodies the essense of the
"Divine Spirit" that he claims inspired Crowley's
Liber  Oz  and the American Constitution and Bill
of Rights.

Note,  however,  the  paradox in the title of his
book "The  Slaves  Shall  Serve:  Meditations  On
Liberty."  Since,  by  his  own reckoning, slaves
shall serve, is it unreasonable to infer that, in
his  view, this liberty of which he speaks is not
for all, not for We the People, but for They  the
Slavemasters?  Will  Wasserman  and  his cabal of
cabalists please cut the crap?  Wasserman writes:

"Spiritually, I embrace the teachings of Aleister
Crowley  and  The  Book  of  the  Law.  A natural
corollary of this is that  I  believe  in  Divine
Inspiration.   I   also   believe   the  American
Constitution and its Bill  of  Rights  to  be  an
inspired  model  of  the  type  of society  later
articulated by Crowley in Liber Oz (a short tract
written  in  1941,  that  expressed the political
philosophy of The Book of The Law in words of one
sylable.)  What  makes the ideas of both Liber Oz
and the  Bill  of  Rights  so  radical  is  their
guarantee   of   nearly   unlimited  liberty  and
individual rights. If  these  two  documents  are
examples  of  secret  societes engineering social
change -- Brethren, let us pray!"

Wasserman  concludes  shortly  thereafter:   "The
reigning political goal of society built on these
principles must be the encouragement  of  maximum
individual liberty for the most unfettered growth
of the  inner  potential."  Yes,  unfettered  and
unrestricted,  he  says,  yet  "the  slaves shall
serve" is the Crowleyian creed, and last I  heard
slaves are by definition fettered. So, evidently,
this license unbound is only  for  Wasserman  and
his  spiritual  kin,  the golieths of Gotham, who
fancy themselves the strong,  brave  and  bright,
who are destined, like Super Novas, to burn their
path to glory in a galexy of dimwited slaves. The
apiritual  giants--the  Wassermans of the world--
clamor for lamb chops amidst the silence  of  the
lambs,  or  "the quiet wisdom of the cattle,", to
use Crowley's  description  of  the  micro-chiped
cyber  slaves  of  an Orwellian future. Wasserman
quotes his hero Crowley:

"The type of tailess simian who finds  himself  a
mere   forked  radish  in  a  univers  of  giants
clamoring for hors d'oevres must take refuge from
Reality  in  Freudian  phantaises  of  "God"." He
winces at the touch of Truth, and shivers at  his
nakedness  in Nature. He therefore invents a cult
of fear and shame, and makes it  presumption  and
blasphemy  to  posses  courage and self-respect."

book  The Slaves Shall Serve.) Perhaps, then, the
prayer of  Crowleyian  canibal  wisdom  might  be
better put: "Bretren, let us PREY!"
